Lymphatic Massage
Lymphatic massage is a gentle, deeply relaxing fingertip massage that works with the lymphatic system to encourage the drainage of congested, sluggish lymph fluid. Once excess fluid and waste products are moved through the lymphatic system, the body can more efficiently transport nutrients to muscles and tissues.

After surgery
Lymphatic drainage as part of postoperative care
Following a surgical procedure or another treatment that causes swelling, lymphatic drainage massage may be incorporated to support the healing process.
The massage is performed with very light pressure over areas affected by surgery. Encouraging lymphatic drainage can help reduce postoperative swelling and bruising as part of the recovery process.
Massage may be performed once sutures have been removed and your surgical team has determined that treatment is appropriate for your stage of recovery.
