Brazilian Butt Lift in the Atlanta Metro Area

Use your own unwanted fat to refine surrounding contours and add soft, shapely volume to the buttocks with a personalized Brazilian butt lift plan.

Shape With Your Own Fat

A fuller silhouette with refined surrounding contours

Brazilian butt lift combines liposuction and fat transfer to enhance the buttocks while reducing unwanted fat from selected donor areas.

Although fashion and beauty trends come and go, the ultra-feminine hourglass figure seems to be always in vogue. At Plastic Surgery Center of the South in Marietta, we achieve this outcome for thousands of patients each year by incorporating fat transfer techniques into a procedure called Brazilian butt lift surgery.

People from throughout metro Atlanta, Roswell, Brookhaven, and Sandy Springs, Georgia, can use their own unwanted fat to add sexy, soft volume to their buttocks.

Is BBL Right for You?

Candidates for Brazilian Butt Lift

Brazilian butt lift, or BBL, is a specialized procedure that uses your own unwanted fat to create the contours you desire. The best candidates generally share one or more of the following characteristics.

Adequate donor fat

You have enough unwanted “donor fat” to use and are within a healthy weight range.

Proportion concerns

You feel that your natural buttocks do not match the proportions of the rest of your body.

Flat or sagging shape

Your buttocks are drooping, saggy, or flat and you would like a fuller, more rounded contour.

Persistent contour concerns

You cannot correct the issue with reasonable diet or exercise adjustments.

Your Procedure

How Brazilian butt lift surgery works

Your BBL is performed under general anesthesia in one of our two state-certified surgical suites. Depending on the significance of your procedure, surgery may take approximately 1 to 5 hours.

General Anesthesia Performed while you are fully anesthetized.
1–5 Hours Procedure length varies with the extent of liposuction and fat transfer.
Donor Areas Common areas include the abdomen, back, waist, or thighs.
Fat Transfer Purified fat is carefully injected to shape the buttocks.

Harvest unwanted fat

Once you are fully anesthetized, your surgeon performs a gentle form of liposuction on your donor area—typically the abdomen, back, waist, or thighs, where unwanted fat tends to accumulate. This can enhance the overall result by making surrounding areas appear smaller while the buttocks are enhanced.

Purify viable fat cells

Your surgeon uses a specialized technique to purify the harvested fat so that as many healthy, viable fat cells as possible are prepared for transfer.

Transfer and shape

Finally, the prepared fat is added through small injections, carefully shaping the buttocks to create the rounded, symmetrical result you want. After evaluating both the buttocks and donor area, your surgeon closes the incisions.

Recovery & Results

Protecting your result while you heal

In most cases, buttock augmentation is an outpatient procedure. You will need a friend or family member to drive you home after surgery and stay with you for the next day or so.

First 48 Hours

Manage tenderness and pressure

Tenderness and discomfort are typical during the first 48 hours, although prescribed medication can help significantly. Avoid excessive pressure on the buttocks and rest on your stomach or sides.

Early Recovery

Begin light movement

Short, easy walks are recommended as soon as possible. You may shower the day after surgery, while continuing to follow your surgeon’s specific instructions.

About 1–2 Weeks

Return to work carefully

Many patients return to work within approximately 1 to 2 weeks. If your job requires prolonged sitting, you may need a special pillow to help keep unnecessary pressure off the buttocks.

As the weeks and months progress, your comfort level should continue to improve and your smoother, more shapely result becomes increasingly clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Brazilian Butt Lift FAQs

Can I combine my BBL with other procedures?

It depends. Because patients need to keep weight off their buttocks after BBL, it may be necessary to undergo additional procedures such as breast augmentation at an alternate time. Your surgeon can help you create a plan that safely achieves your desired results.

More significant liposuction may be performed during your BBL to further enhance your contours, and BBL may also be combined with lower body contouring procedures when appropriate.

How long will my results last?

The longevity of your results depends on several factors. In general, BBL results are long lasting. Fat cells removed with liposuction are permanently removed, while transferred fat cells that establish a blood supply can remain long term.

You can help maintain your result by avoiding significant weight fluctuations and following your surgeon’s instructions before and after surgery.

What precautions should I take during recuperation?

It is very important to keep pressure off your buttocks during the immediate recovery period. This allows transplanted fat to settle while you heal. Resume light movement as directed, but avoid straining yourself during recuperation.

Plan to have a supportive friend or family member available to help with errands and housework, and follow your surgeon’s specific instructions closely because every surgery and recovery is different.
