MemoryShape™ Breast Implants: The Perfect Balance

We’re very pleased to announce that The Plastic Surgery Center of the South is now offering the latest breast implants in the Atlanta area to be approved by the FDA. The MENTOR® MemoryShape silicone-filled breast implants provide the perfect balance of shape and feel. These implants were recently FDA approved and represent the latest breast implant technology available. Here are a few reasons these implants are so special:

  • Thicker, more cohesive gel

The MemoryShape implants are filled with a dense silicone gel that better retains its shape. This material is more durable than previous types of silicone gel implants, which means that the implants are less likely to leak if ruptured or damaged. The cohesive gel also gives the breasts a more natural feel than with some other materials.

  • Teardrop shape

MemoryShape breast implants are anatomically shaped to resemble a natural breast, with more volume at the bottom and less roundness at the top, as some other shapes have. This provides an authentic-looking option for women who do not want a lot of upper breast fullness.

  • Textured silicone shell

A textured outer shell helps to keep the MemoryShape implants from rotating in the breast pocket. Textured shells are also believed to reduce the likelihood of capsular contracture, a complication that occurs when scar tissue forms around the implant.
