Liposuction: It’s not Just for Your Waistline

When prospective Atlanta plastic surgery patients think about liposuction, they often associate it with removing fat from the waistline. However, at our practice, we use liposuction to sculpt and shape a number of different areas. Here are a few:

• Arms : Upper arm fat can undermine a person’s self-confidence and cause embarrassment. It hangs down and jiggles, stretching your skin. Liposuction can remove this excess arm fat, making your arms look more toned. You can also have an arm lift to remove fat and excess skin.
• Neck : In some people, fat tends to gather below the chin in the neck, where exercise can have little effect. Liposuction can redefine the jawline by removing fat that obscures facial definition. To remove fat and stretched skin, consider a neck lift.
• Breasts : Liposuction is often used in breast reduction procedures. For certain patients who don’t need significant repositioning or reshaping, liposuction alone can adequately reduce breast size.
