Enhance Curves without Implants

If you’re thinking about getting breast implants in Atlanta, you may want to consider the option of using your own fat cells to enhance your curves. Injecting fat cells taken from another part of the body may be an alternative for women who desire fuller breasts. This technique can also be used in a procedure commonly referred to as the “Brazilian butt lift,” which enhances the contour of the buttocks.

Using a patient’s fat cells for cosmetic surgery – called lipotransfer or fat grafting – isn’t for everyone. It’s ideal for women who want slightly fuller or “perkier” breasts. But if you’re looking to augment your breast size significantly, implants will probably remain the preferred option. For women whose breasts are sagging or droopy, a breast lift at our Atlanta practice is usually the best choice.

Here are a few other things to consider when making your decision:

  • Many women who choose fat injections say that they prefer the natural feel of their enhanced breasts when compared to traditional implants.
  • Since the fat has to be removed from another area of the body through liposuction, you get the benefit of both procedures.
  • Fat transfer provides limited results (usually a cup size) and not everyone is a candidate.

Ask your surgeon to explain fat transfer in greater detail, and to help you determine whether or not it is a good option for you.
